We have been a non-profit organization based in Magdeburg since 1991. Originally founded as Aidshilfe Magdeburg, our areas of responsibility have continuously evolved, and we are now the Center for Sexual Health - Aidshilfe Sachsen-Anhalt Nord e.V. Our service area includes northern Saxony-Anhalt, consisting of six districts and the state capital, Magdeburg.

We are not only representatives for people living with HIV and their families but also a self-help organization and advocates for the sexual rights outlined by the WHO. Our services include, in addition to HIV/STI prevention, information and counseling on many sexual education topics. We also conduct rapid and lab tests for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in our Checkpoint. Should we detect an infection, you can also receive treatment here in our facility, if necessary.

As a specialist association, we are a contact point for authorities, offices, and other associations or institutions. We are members of AIDS-Hilfe Sachsen-Anhalt e.V., the German AIDS Association, the Paritätischer Landesverband, the Society for Sexual Education, and the Federal Association for Queer Education.

Aidshilfe Sachsen-Anhalt Nord e.V. is institutionally funded by the state of Saxony-Anhalt – specifically, the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health, and Equality.
