The "Zentrum für sexuelle Gesundheit" has several counseling services that we present to you here:

Personal consultation

Mondays and Thursdays from 11:00 to 20:00 / Fridays from 09:00 to 13:00

Our offer for personal advice gives you the chance to speak face-to-face to our employees to look for help.

The consultation is always for free and you can make an appointment via telephone or email.

You can ask all the questions you're having in mind about HIV/Aids and other sexual transmitted infections (STI) during your personal consultation. If you are HIV positive, we can additionally support you handling problems, which you might have in everyday life situations and legal aspects.

Possible topics could be:

• Fear of an HIV infection
• Dealing with an HIV infection (e.g. at work or with family and friends)
• financial difficulties and possibilities for social safeguarding
• Risk of infection from sexual transmitted infections (STI)
• Questions about sexuality and sexual orientation

Our advisors can additionally refer to other addresses and offers nearby you, for example self-help groups.

Our consultants are experienced employees. They receive intensive training and are always up to date with the latest technical developments. You can reach us during our consulting hours at +49 (0) 391 535769-69.

They are available to answer all your questions about HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infections (STI). We are also happy to give you information about

• the possibility of personal counseling on site
• Possibilities to get tested for HIV and other STI
• Emergency measures after an HIV infection risk (see also Safer Sex Accident / PEP)
• Self-help groups, HIV specialists and other offers in Magdeburg and the region.
• Questions about your own sexuality

If you can't reach us, you can also use the nationwide Aids-helpline. You can reach them at +49 (0) 180 33 19411 (9 cents per minute from all German networks). You can reach the nationwide telephone counseling service Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 21:00 h and on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 to 14:00 h

There you will be advised by qualified employees of our AIDS-Hilfe.

You can ask your question in peace and quiet during the chat consultation. You can remain completely anonymous. We will answer your questions as soon as possible, often even within a few minutes. (Always Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 20:00) 

For more complicated questions you can stay in contact with one of our consultants* for a longer period of time.

Gay Health Chat

daily from 17:00 to 20:00

The Gay Health Chat is a cooperation project under the direction of the Deutsche Aidshilfe e.V. and can be reached via this website.

We are staff members of more than 40 regional AIDS organisations. We regularly attend further training courses and have a sound knowledge of sexual health, HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections and gay life. And we are specially trained to give advice on the Internet. We take special care to ensure that our advice is confidential, reliable and competent.

All consultants work full-time or on a voluntary basis for a member organisation of the German AIDS-Hilfe e.V. or for the AIDS-Hilfe Switzerland or the AIDS-Hilfe Austria.
